Hamilton Hockey History: The Early Years

This website is devoted to the origins of hockey in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It is still far from complete. Much of the information that is found here has to be compiled from newspaper sources, as there are no secondary works dealing with this topic. It is my intention to document every known game played in the city or by teams from this city during the period 1891 and 1918. By doing so, I hope to shed additional light on the formative years of the game of hockey in Canada, and initiate some interest in the game's development in the city of Hamilton.
