Keeping with their love for hovercrafts, the Warsaw Pact designed the GUS class,
for use with their Naval Infantry assaults. Russia soon dropped the
hovercraft for the KVP class, though Poland held on to it. They added the
multi-fuel engine, thus increasing its range.
The SKATE class is a modification of the GUS, with an added PT-76 turret mounted forward of the bridge. This modification is at the cost of 19 troopers, though it still maintains the twin 23mm autocannon.
