AOR

AOR 509 HMCS Protecteur
AOR 510 HMCS Preserver

The improved class of the Provider AOR, the Protecteur Class is a vital link in the Canadian Navy.  Used throughout the world, the two ships have become 'tactical' tankers, loading fuel from larger AOR's and transporting it in theatre to the warships there.  Although over 35 years old, the tankers are still used, though with much downtime in-between.  They are small by today's standard AOR's, though very capable in RAS and transport, and generally well liked by the NATO crews who use their services.  A twin 76mm turret may be mounted on the bow, though these have a tendency to be blown off in rough seas.
