The Vodnik is the Russian answer to the HUM-VEE. Most went to KGB field units, though the Russian Army did acquire some. It is amphibious at a quarter of its off-road speed. The model shown here is the command module, or it can be replaced by an APC module holding up to 8 people.

UAZ-469B Light Vehicle

First produced in 1972 from the unsuccessful 460B design, the 469B (also known as the UAZ-31512) is the 'Jeep' of the Soviet Union. Rugged and simple to make and use, the 469B is a capable performer for a light military vehicle. In many European nations, the 469B is sold as a civilian version, under the name Tundra.

blown to hinder the WARSAW forces advance. Many vehicles were created to
combat this problem, one was the BAV ZIL-485 truck. Basically, a truck
made to move troops and cargo it still could swim 10 knots in the water.
